About Me

Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a Physiotherapist and Health Coach, specialising in chronic pain management.

I qualified in 2009 and I now have over 16 years’ experience as a physiotherapist in the NHS. Early in my career I made the decision to specialise in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. This is when I first became interested in the management of chronic pain.

I trained with the Health Innovation Network to be able to deliver the ESCAPE-pain© programme and I delivered several successful groups. This has given me valuable insight into the complex nature of chronic pain, and the incredible value of a holistic approach.

I have since continued my learning, keeping up to date with new developments and I am dedicated to exploring effective, evidence-based strategies tailored to your unique needs.

What I Offer

I provide specialist, evidence-based care for people living with persistent and chronic pain. I am dedicated to supporting individuals whose pain has lasted longer then expected - often months or years - and who may have tried previous treatments without lasting success.

Unlike traditional physiotherapy models that focus primarily on short-term symptom relief, I take a comprehensive and personalised approach to understanding pain. Chronic pain is complex. It involves the nervous system, movement patterns, stress, beliefs, and lifestyle - not just tissues or scans.

Appointments are longer, unhurried, and designed to build clarity, confidence and control. Each patient receives:

  • A thorough, in-depth assessment

  • Clear explanation of their pain

  • A structured rehabilitation plan

  • Practical strategies for flare-ups

  • Ongoing guidance and progression

The goal is not simply to reduce pain in the short term, but to help people rebuild trust in their body and return to meaningful activity with confidence.

I combine clinical expertise with a calm, personal and compassionate environment.

I work collaboratively with each individual, recognising that recovery from persistent pain requires partnership, consistency and a clear strategy.

This is physiotherapy designed for complex, ongoing pain - not just injury treatment.
